About Columbia Heights High School

What makes CHHS unique?

Columbia Heights High School (CHHS) is your hometown high school. We are extremely proud of our excellence, heritage and 21st-Century approach to learning, but most of all, our more than 800, diverse students in grades 9-12.

To help students on their path, our teachers create relationships while helping students develop lifelong learning skills for college and career readiness. As a Hylander, you will have opportunities to experience success in academics, athletics and activities that may not be available elsewhere including AVID, College Possible, GenesysWorks and more. These programs offer valuable experience through internships, life skills, college test prep and opportunities for post-secondary education - they also help us build college and career-ready graduates.

In 2016, CHHS was earned a spot on the College Board's AP Honor Roll and the District was named the "AP Small District of the Year." CHHS was also ranked 55 out of 769 high schools in Minnesota by the U.S. News and World Report's 2017 Best High School Rankings.CHHS is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools and the State Board of Education, State of Minnesota.

We are proud to be Hylanders and know your students will be too!
